how do i get to view my stability index? with all my application crashes and recent blue screens i'm sure i got you beat easy :(

I had one of 1.08 and it went up again and then down

While I don't think system stability index is a very good measure of actual stability, it is interesting to look at. My reasons are because on most systems all the errors that lower the index are caused mainly by a single program that crashes many times per day. Prehaps a more useful index would only count a program once if it crashes multiple times. A more useful index (hint hint Microsft) would be an index of performance over time, so for example a graph of system boot time over say a year, or since the system was installed. Other performance related things could be logon time, .NET framework load time, average VM used, average cpu use when idle, load times for common apps, eg. windows explorer or internet explorer etc. These would all give good indicators of how "clogged up" a system is with junk, and provide a good indicator as to in a particular program slows the system down a lot, and by how much, especially when the results can be seen graphed over time, to intermediate-level computer users, and might inspire software developers to reduce the system load of their background processes (*cough* Norton *cough*).
