If you are in Ottawa for DevTeach don’t miss my Silverlight 5 workshop!

Building an end-to-end application with Silverlight

In this full day workshop, we will show you how to build an end-to-end Rich Internet Application (RIA) with Silverlight 5. The integration of data in application is one of the most important processes in the development. In the meantime, RIA also refers to compelling user interface. In this lab, you’ll discover how the data and the user interface can be integrated together seamlessly. The presentation will guide you through some best practices learned while working on real Silverlight projects.

  • What: DevTeach pre-conference, full day on Silverlight 5!
  • When: November 2
  • Where: Ottawa Conference Center

See you there!

As you know last week was the BUILD event organized by Microsoft in Anaheim (California), an entire show dedicated to Windows 8.
5000 people were there, but Microsoft does not forget everyone else and has made available (for free) all the sessions and keynotes on Channel 9:

To me, the good news if that I’ll be able to reuse my current skills (XAML+C#) to build kick ass touch apps for Windows 8! (Metro style apps)

If you are a XAML developer (Silverlight/WPF), I would recommend watching these sessions:

This last one is not directly about XAML dev but definitely worth a look :

Happy watching!
