MSDN just published some
pages describing each Application Blocks distributed in the Enterprise
Library. And there is a good news written in the Roadmap:
"An updated release of the Security Application Block is planned for the next
release of Enterprise Library. This release will target the .NET Framework 2.0
and Visual Studio 2005.
The Security Application Block will be updated to work with the .NET
Framework 2.0 and may include additional improvements based on customer
feedback."
Another good news is that the Enterprise Library is coming with a
configuration tool. It will end the hell of editing the XML configuration files,
cool.
The
patterns & practices Enterprise Library is a library of Application Blocks designed to assist developers with common enterprise development challenges. Application Blocks are a type of guidance, provided as source code, that can be used as-is, extended or modified by developers for use on enterprise development projects. Enterprise Library features new and updated versions of application blocks that were previously available as stand-alone blocks. All blocks included in Enterprise Library have been updated with a particular focus on consistency, extensibility, ease of use and integration.

I tried and used lots of blog tool as you might read on my blog. But I was
always searching for a light weight publisher tool. Not the big one that also
aggregate, a simple publishing tool. And now I have it, THANKS to Chris
Frazier who developed the awesome PostXING.
I helped him track
down a bug in the ftp client to post the picures you have in your blog. And
now it ROCKS for me !!!

This evening I attended a webcast about web service
interopearability. It was done by Michele
Leroux Bustamante of IDesign. The
subject was .NET and Bea Weblogic interop and was really interesting. I would
like to see now the way to do the same development using Eclipse and deploying
the Web service in Weblogic. One of the link to remember about this webcast is:
Interop Warriors (such a nice
name ;).
You might take a look to the upcoming webcast here: http://www.interopmonth.com/
I was using for quite a long time TagScanner but with the new
functionnalities that Sergey
Serkov added. I would say it the killer app for MP3 ID3 tags editing,
renaming...

Thanks Sergey
for that awesome tool.
My brother Mathieu, Microsoft
C# MVP, just received his Australian working holiday visa, so he
is leaving France for Australia in one month. He just opened a blog to keep us uptodate with
his trip and experience there.
Mathieu, I think you made a good decision to go on with this trip, I am
sure it will be an awesome experience for you and it wil change your life. Good
luck.
Jetbrains is opening it's early
Access Program for it new tool .NET
Profiler. Screen shot:

As I am already using ReSharper from them and can't
work without it anymore as you can read in older post: Resharper
1.0 released and Resharper
Build 84 secret feature, I decided to give it a try quickly. First I thought
I will test my website but it did not work, certainly because I use the trick
explained here to have multiple site on Windows XP. Then I quickly
tried PostXING.
I will check it a bit more and hopefully I will be able to test my web site:
Tech Head Brothers.
It is really nice :-) Mathieu
is beta testing the tool I developed to publish Articles and How to on our
site Tech
Head Brothers, a French portal about .NET. And he succesfully published a
first article directly from Word 2003 !!!
This tool has been developed with
C# and VSTO and uses XML, XSLT, XML Schema and Web Services for the publishing
part : WS-Policy, WS-Security with an X509 token, DIME.
Here is how it looks like:
