Evoluent Vertical Mouse now available in wireless model

I've praised this mouse before, but just discovered that the wireless model of the Evoluent Vertical Mouse is now available. I have the wired version, and it is without a doubt the most comfortable mouse I've ever used. I throw it in my bag and drag it back and forth between the office and home. (I wonder how long before the cord gets a short?).

The only modification I made was to physically disable the large bottom button closest to the desk by inserting a small rolled up piece of paper behind it because I kept hitting it inadvertently while just moving the mouse.

The wireless one would be nice if anyone wants to buy it for me, my birthday is coming up.  Anybody have one yet?  How does it work?  How is the battery life?

  • I use the same wired mouse at work and I love it. I also accidentally hit the bottom button sometimes, but in the Evoluent software, you can disable the bottom button so that even if you click it, it'll do nothing.

Your rolled up paper hack is a little crude! ;)

  • I have the wireless version; I've had Evoluent since 2002, been thru all three upgrades. This one is the nicest because of its mobility and precision. I had carpel tunnel syndrome from working with the traditional mouse; that was problem mellowed out once I got the Vertical Mouse. Try the wireless. I dated the batteries (lithium) and it's been over two months with no sighs of slowing down. I think you'll like it..

  • For me, the wireless mouse always stops working after a couple of minutes of use. Which is pretty bad, since the mouse is so nice.

  • Hey, gang, still using the wireless VM; love it madly. it's very fluid and the cordless nature really makes it a breeze to handle. Just brought my first lattop/notebook. would like to see a mini wireless version that I could toss in my notebook bag. Right now, I use the smaller traditional mouse with the laptop along with the touch pad but a mini Vertical Mouse would be a great idea.
