Enterprise Library 4.1 Released

EntLib 4.1 was released yesterday. The new release includes:

  • Support for Visual Studio 2008 and Visual Studio 2008 SP1.
  • Interception mechanism in the Unity Application Block.
  • Performance improvements.
  • Usability improvements of the config tool.
  • Fixes.

I get installer error (even after I uninstalled EntLib4)

"This version of the Enterprise Library cannot be installed side-by-side with version 4.0. Please uninstall Enterprise Library v4.0 and try again."

Ideas?

Removing the key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Enterprise Library v4" from the registry will do it.

Note, on x64 this key is under HKLM\Software\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\

Drove me crazy for a while because I couldn't find the key...
