I'm actually getting this from my girlfriend for xmas :)

I got that clock for xmas last year. It's great! All the time people are like, "what the heck is that"? Then I show off my binary skills by showing them how it is saying its 3:45:26. Great gadget to put you to sleep too... counting it go while lying awake in bed.

We exchange names in my wife's family for gifts. I just sent a link to that clock to my sister-in-law yesterday morning for the blue and silver one. Is there anything on that site that isn't geeky-cool?

i am in the mood of building a binary clock,,,conventional electronics of course,,not a microprocessor controled one...how ever. i have found a schematic of one but cannot find the pcb layout for it..i am going nuts trying to plot out all the components..

anyone have a scorce for a pcb layout for this schematic?

this clock is very much like the one shown above...i have the blue and silver one...but that one is microprocessor controled,,,
the one in the link is conventional electronics..
if i can get this one made out then i will have easy planes to make a micro version...

During the past schoolyear I gave my students an extensive Java project to write a binary clock (command line version, applet version, and application) I thought there might be suicide attempts (or a hit put out on me) but everyone survived and there were some great results.(http://webdev04.bitnest.net/studentpages/jheitmeyer/jameshome.html)
Anyway, as a kind of revenge they went in together and got the blue and silver version for me as a thank you at graduation.
Kinda put a geeky little tear in my geeky little eye.

This isn't truely binary, the hours should be one line upto 24 and the minutes similar upto 60.
