From NWAF to NBOSS.

After long conversations and debates on the Internet and directly with MS employee and other architects and enterprise developers I decide that I'll start conversion of JBOSS application server into .NET implementation.

I have no doubts that application server that supplies build in services, as well as user defined, and create a level of abstraction between operating system services and your system will help a lot to penetration of .Net into enterprises.

The main focus of out initiative is to implement JBOSS abilities but to take advantage of .NET features (Attributes, run time compilation,  generics and generics support in reflection, Application domain and more … )

I'm looking for others to join this effort and build the next, in fact the first, .Net application server.

I'm a bit lax on my java knowledge. What would an application server do for me?

Nice. Given the nature of the project, I get the feeling mono should be a given deployment target as well. What are your thoughts on that?
