Acquisitions

...it looks like I've beaten my co-worker, James, to the punch on this.  Our employer has been acquired.. we had a company-wide conference call this morning.  We now are part of Avanade.  Avanade, as you may know (or may not) was founded approximately three years ago as a joint venture between Microsoft and Accenture.

I cannot speak for James, but I certainly feel quite positive about this, particularly their mobility service offerings.  I can't wait to get my hands on the Avanade Connected Architecture Mobile (ACA Mobile).   I'm convinced that this is going to be a Good Thing (tm).... combining the skilled team of G. A. Sullivan with the resources of Avanade.

Avanade - A Great Place To Work said:

I am a PM at Avanade and have been with the company for almost 3 years... I've gotta tell you that this is one of the best companies I've worked for and it's a very cool place to work. I hear that GA Sullivan is very much like Avanade in terms of culture, passion for technology and high standards.

I'd like to extend a warm welcome to you and the rest of your coworkers. I am looking forward to working with you.

Regards,

Richard and Nick: Thank you for the warm welcomes! I am happy to see the reception that we are getting, and I am stoked about the possibilities that Avanade brings to the table. I look forward to getting to know the Avanade folks and working together.

We just got access to the Avanade intranet today.. whoa! I feel like a sponge.. the only thing I can say is that what I am feeling here must be a subset of what folks like Chris Sells are feeling as they settle in at Microsoft [and absorbing all of that environment].
