&lt;p&gt;You might like this one... &amp;nbsp;Can I recommend that developers who are developing on a local machine and then uploading to a server make sure that the authentication cookie has a different name in each web.config! &amp;nbsp;I just could not figure why I was getting such odd results. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I am using the new login in controls in 2.0 btw.&lt;/p&gt;
