Error: error undefined in What’s New (Activity Feeds)

Hi,

I came up with this error recently, each time I clicked on ‘'What’s new’ menu option:

[Solution]

I am describing here what worked for me:

First, double check that OData end-point is working properly from Settings->Developer Resources->Organization Data Service.

clip_image001[6]

If an XML is returned, then.. next step is to double check you have ‘Activity Feeds’ Security Role assigned to you or the user is facing the problem. You can do this by navigating to Settings->Administration->Users->(click on the user)->Roles

After adding this role to the user, feeds under What’s new should be displayed successfully.

Hope it helps,

What if the Activity Feeds security role is not created?

@Nik,

Have you published the Activity Feeds solution?

Hi Pablo -

I found an alternate problem/solution - the user *must* have at least read rights on the 'note' entity, otherwise the activity feed pages throw an error. (at least up to UR7)

The "Activity Feed" security role does not include this privilege.

I've had got the same issue on my MS Dynamics On-premise. I've manged to resolve it with adding the CRM site to Local Internet zone (not to Trusted) and using the correct access address (you can get it in Deployment manager).
