If ASP.NET v2.0.xxx does not appear in Web Services do:

start/Run/cmd:

cd C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727

(where Windows is your windows directory and .50727 is your .NET version)

aspnet_regiis –ir

Note: This will not change the .NET version for existing websites.

Wow now even in SQL 2008 they make these silly "we know what's best for you" decisions. I fear in SQL2010 MS Bob will reappear. MSFT what's wrong with you lately ?
