.NET DAY 2004

Yes, the .NET DAY 2004 in Vienna was really great!

I met many good old friends and also some new and very interesting people: Ingo Rammer, David Sussmann, Alex Homer, Captain Meso, Arvindra Sehmi, Kai Wilke, Thomas Haak, Christian Nagel, Beat Schwegler, Mario Szpusta, Klaus Aschenbrenner, and Christian Weyer to name just a few...

Big thanks to Beat for providing the possibility to be an active part of such a great event!

Al and Dave

In the last days I've got to know two of my absolutely favorite book authors: Alex Homer and Dave Sussman. I'm sure you heard about them, if not: go and checkout their website www.alanddave.com

Thanks again for the great time we had together in Vienna!

Phenomenal Weekend

Ok, It's a few days that i had my first post. But I was without internet connectivity in the last days....

Well, let's start with thursday the 22nd of Jannuary: I got up at 5:30 am, had a quick shower, some coffee for breakfast and packed my stuff for a little journey. At 9:30am I left Vienna, heading towards Munich. All was great, I reached Salzburg after 2:20 driving, including a short stop for my human needs. But in germany (A8 near Rosenheim) was a traffic jam: yeah, 4km in 2 hours. :(

Anyways, I made it to Unterschleißheim near Munich to Microsoft Germany. There I met Evelyn Ruf. She's responsible for the german MVPs. I also met Frank Eller there and at 5:30 pm we headed together for the .NET Usergroup Munich Meeting where I was talking about Building PlugIn Systems for .NET Applications with System.Reflection.

On Friday morning i headed towards Bad Ischl (back to Austria) for the .NET Community Skimeeting 2004. 11 people (4 of them MVPs), 3 days, lots of beer, perfect weather, lots of fun - see for yourself: pictures

Ok, enough for now. I'll post more pictures from the weekend later.

First Post! ;)

Ok, so now that I am a MVP it seems that this is a good time to start blogging.

A big THANK YOU to all the people that nominated me for this position. I'll try to show you everyday that I'm worth the trouble. :)
