This crashes on my computer but I don't meet the requirements. I wish I had some solid proof to tell people that this isn't a gimmick. Everyone tells me that it's either suspicious or fake. One person asked if it was a virus :(

P4 3200 and Radeon 9800XT
Sometimes you can't move anymore... Just look around. Jump en walking is not possible. But it is a beta!! Amazing how much you can put in less than 100K!

woah how did they get it down so small?

it worked fine for me, AtholonXP 2500+ and a Powercolor ATI 9800se.

amazing that they got it down so small.

dudes, it don't work.. not on an athlon running w2k nor on a p4 running xp....

maybe i should try it on linux with winex...

if it don't work it ain't impressive, no matter how small it is...

Man, I guess this is a kindda fake. I noticed that my cable MODEM worked so hard to download ev'rything for running this piece of sheet. It means that ev'ry other materials are in somewhere else; and I simply download them. Isn't this true, huh?

I got a ATHLON 1800+, a Geforce 4 MX-400 (64 MBRAM) on a NFORCE motherboard with 512 MD DDR-RAM and the application crashes. I installed the latest nvidia graphics driver.

Can somebody give me a hand ?

thanks.

It's real. I have a firewall and it doesn't get its textures from the web, as JWLENNON implied. It does nothing at all concerning the netwerk.

If the game doesn't run, check the spec list. Bartboy, you do not have a DirectX 9 compliant videocard, so you'll never be able to play this on your machine.

It does run on my machine, and I think it's brilliant. Not so much as a game, but more the achievement itself.

excellent, absolutely excellent. i love the graphical design and the sound is decent. the only problem i have is the frame rate, its really bad, hard to move and aim successfully and i don't get an ammo and health counter. either way its incredable for agame in 96k, absolutely amazing. if u could give me updates on versions etc. (email is pokeneo1@aol.com) i'm extremely interested in this.

The screenshots and the size of the game is very impressive. To bad I don´t have Windows so I can try it. Would love to try/buy it on Linux. Has anybody got it to work on Wine?

Would love to hear how you managed to do it.

@Linuxgamer: While I understand your desire, I truely believe without DirectX 9 on Linux you'll have a hard time building/running this :)

I always said that programmers were lazy and made bloted code. THis game proves that! SO SMALL yet look at what they created! It worked for me, on my P4 2.8C, 512 RAM and 9800 ATI AIW PRO. Imagin what the game would look like if they made the game 1meg. :)

Holy shit. Holy shit. Sholy hit. Sholit! ... I mean, wow. Seriously, if you say this is done just with pixel shaders, you're full of crap. :) The models for things are just too detailed, and if this is what everything would look like with a per-pixel shader... damn. Someone should just make a basic, open-source shader for use by all professional and amateur sources, just so all our games can look this good. :)

I think its great work............

I have a dual 1 Ghz pentium 3 system, videocard GeForce5900 XT. Runs a bit choppy, but i think its great work.

I can go forward(w), backwards(s), sideways(a and d) and i can jump(spacebar), pressing the k makes me loosing health :D. Weapons toggle is done by 1 through 0.

I only have tried it once, got stuck on the fourth level (or fifth ?, i forgot to count) At the end it seems i cannot go through the door, not sure if this would be possible if i could croutch, or maybe i just missed something. But it looks like i cant fire ahead either, so i guess it stops there?

But wow this is awsome work, 96 kb and it does it all, i for sure want to see the alfa version of it.

The graphics and design are cool too, as said i like Unreal 1, and the atmoshere of this game does resemble it.

Again, awsome work gentlemen :)

Barton 2500 oc'd to 3200, 512 ram, 9800pro.

The only thing that I ask is an inverted mouse option in the next release. I can't play it regular mouse.

it's very nice on a P4 2.4c, 1024ram, 9800 pro, windows XP pro.

It takes 65 secs to generate graphics/sounds and to load.

I also need an invert y axis mouse option.

I don't think that anyone in here realises what the programmers from .theprodukkt have achieved. The reason why the game doesn't run on most of your pcs is that your video cards do not support the pixelshader function (directx 9). No matter. Main thing is that the game REALY WORKS!!! There is sound, textures, weapons, enemies, levels and all that in 96Kilobytes.
You know... Unreal Tournament 2004 has an approximent size of 5.5 GIGABITES which is 5500000 Kilobites. Thats insane...

Gio said:

I would surely be curious to know, if possible, how much the executable size would be reduced if the game would be compiled on a .NET framework machine, as there is a potential oart of the job that can be delegate to the framework...

No problem running this at all, but then again my machine meets the specs. Oh how funny that so many do not know what machine specs are and try to run anything and everything, then just bitch when things do not work.
This is incredible! My question is why? Why are these huge game developers, with millions not using/doing this? Just think of what could come out of it.

Hi guys,
this is the first ego-shooter I have tried, and ... I am really impressed.
Switched off all the lights and dived into the game ...
The text is helpful to overcome the "get stuck in a door on level 6" problem.
Some ideas:
- not that much ammunition
- more crabs, at more random positions,
maybe even coming up from behind after you have crossed a room
- anything else besides the great graphics in the last level?
Phantastic game!
