A user experience only a mother could love

So I downloaded Windows Mobile Device Centre, installed it, run it. Plugged in my Windows Mobile 5 device and received the "uber" useful screen you see below. Now which option shall I choose from here.....? I wonder how long it took to design this screen? Well at least its a green screen so it can't be all bad right?

But what a nice UI at least :)

I had exactly the same problem.

The following worked for me.

1. Reboot the PC.

2. Soft reset the PPC.

3. Leave the PPC disconnected

4. Launch the WMDC and delete any existing relationships.

5. Connect the PPC.

6. Accept the default name for the device that WMDC offers (I tried to change the name but though it was accepted fine but the above error showed up again!!).

7. Perform the first sync and enjoy!

Hope this helps.

Unfortunately, it probably did take quite a while to design this screen because it looks cool. Pity it isn't useful though.

Hi

I've experienced much trouble with both the beta and now the relase from some days ago. I have to delete my profiles on both my phone and on my computer several times. When i get the sync to work it takes around 1 hour, where ActiveSync 4.x took max 30 sec.
