INDA - New event added to the long list ;-)

Announcement :

Our July session has been confirmed for Friday 15th July and will be on Visual Studio 2005 and Compact Framework 2.0. The speaker will be Daniel Moth from INETA UK. This will be our second INETA speaker this year and I am delighted with their continuous support. As well as INETA, this meeting is also sponsored by Microsoft

We will have excellent giveaways from INETA on the night.

After the meeting, you're all invited to join us in the bar, as usual, for some free drinks and a chance to chat.

However because of the wine tasting event planned for later, this will be shorter than normal.

To celebrate Bastille Day, we have organised a free wine tasting experience to round off the evening.

This will take place in the infamous French wine bar and restaurant, La Cave on Sth Anne Street, Dublin 2 and will consist of a guided tasting of 8 wonderful wines with some French cheeses, pates and charcuterie.

Because the venue has limited space, this event is only open to the first 30 people who sign in for Daniel Moth's lecture in Buswells Hotel.

A big huge thank you to Microsoft for sponsoring this evening.

Agenda:

6.30pm Daniel Moth lecture - Buswells Hotel
            Please note earlier start time.

8.00pm Drinks reception - Buswells Hotel

8.45pm Wine tasting experience - La Cave

            Next Date for your Diary:

Our next session is one I am sure you will not want to miss: An Introduction to Indigo on Tuesday 3rd May at 7.00pm in Buswells Hotel. We are really delighted that Paul Fallon has agreed to give us what is probably one of the first talks on this new Microsoft product.

We are expecting large numbers for this so please register as soon as you can to confirm a place.

Indigo is the upcoming next big technology. Both beginners and experts will surely have a lot of things to learn from Paul Fallon. If you’d like to suggest what you’d like Paul to cover in his presentation, contact me or Paul using the forums on the site.

Indeed I would encourage with all my energy anyone interested in getting involved   in  INDA to join  us  in our  meetings .

A lot of good things  happen in INDA, not only the free food and the drinks, but also you can meet very interesting people.

This meeting is sponsored by Microsoft  and Allen Recruitment

Looking for Speakers

INDA is looking for speakers who can relate their 'real world' experience using .Net (e-commerce, mobile development, finances, etc...) . Contact me if you have an interesting case study you’d like to share.

Don’t forget that all our meetings are free to attend and have free food and drink in the bar after the meeting, thanks to our fantastic sponsors. You can also win all sorts of books and gadgets during the sessions.

So check the list of proposed sessions, and if you are not yet registered it's time to do so.

A Developer's Lap around SQL Server 200
presented by
Robert Burke

With the release of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (the database formerly known as Yukon), database developers now have the option to locate their code according to its functionality, to access data in native formats such as XML, and to build complex systems that are driven by the power of the database server. Database development is becoming more integrated than ever before, with all of the tools that developers need available right at their fingertips.

C# - 2.0 and Beyond
presented by
Eamon O'Tuathail

This session explores how C# will evolve in the short and long-term to suit the needs of professional developers. C# 2.0 will soon be ready for production use and offers rich constructs such as generics, iterators/coroutines, anonymous methods, partial types and nullable types. Further out is C? (pronounced C Omega), an experimental C# derivative language from Microsoft Research that integrates concurrency (as asynchronous methods) and XQuery & SQL data access (as C# keywords, not strings) directly in the C# language. C#+ Extensions extends C#2.0/C? in interesting ways (AOP, design by contract, specgen and concept types [generics]). ...
