VS 2005 why not 2006 ?

Just a trivial question before the weekend. Why launching VS 2005 few weeks before Christmas and still call the product 2005 ?

Imagine in January 2006, those products become has been ;-)

Well yes and no. This move will make the product look as a fresh new one.
But hey with Microsoft marketing you never know it could happens anyway.

Why not VS 2003? After all it was developed in 2003 and 2004. Oh yes... there is already a product with that name :-)
