New Technology Shopping List

I never seem to have enough time to look at all the cool things I want to look at - so I thought it was about time I made a list, one which I can work my way through and tick off as appropriate. I've touch many of the topics briefly, some I know better than others, but they all deserve much more investigation.

Anyway, here goes (in no particular order).

  • Atlas
  • Ruby On Rails
  • Windows Vista
  • Windows Media Centre
  • Microsoft Speech Server
  • Microsoft Office 2007
  • XAML
  • WinFX
    • WCF
    • WPF
    • WF
  • MySQL
  • MSBuild
  • IIS 7
  • Mono
  • Macintosh Development
  • Mobile Devices
  • Team Foundation Server
  • SQL Server 2005 Integration Services
  • SQL Server 2005 Business Intelligence
  • LINQ
  • D-LINQ
  • .NET Tiers
  • Community Server 2.0
  • C# 3.0
  • VB.NET
  • Live.com
  • Home Automation
  • Virtual Machine Development
  • VOIP
  • Web Services and all the WS-*'s
  • Oracle
  • DB2
  • Apache
  • XNA
  • Geo Mapping
  • 3D Modeling
  • PHP
  • Regular Expressions (These still baffle me!)

I also want to get lots of Drinking and Socialising in with that lot, so it might take me a while!

Wish me luck!

LINQ and DLINQ are very cool and things I've been meaning to spend a lot more time with. I think they are going to have bigger implications on development (in a very positive way) than most of realize yet.

Good luck with the list!

Scott

Thanx for the list. That was really helpful for us to find a good seminar topic for our final year seminar.
