Not a creature was stirring, not even a stupid programmer ...
Okay, so it's boxing day and I've just shut down a server 50 miles away, in an office which is locked up for another week (I meant to press restart).
I feel so stupid :-)
Edit - I *did* click restart, but the graphics card had failed and the resulting hard reset performed wiped out half the mirrored drives :-(
