I decided to try out Expression Blend 2.5 beta by creating a four stroke engine animation. A screen capture

This is quite awesome

Very nicely done!  The traditional diagram of a 4 stroke engine needs 4 pictures.  But with the animation you made, it would be just as clear or even clearer with 1.  

This is the first thing that I've seen that has given me a healthy respect for SilverLight and Expression.  Too bad it sounds like it was so hard to do.  Hope you can give Microsoft some advice.

Raj, my daughters (5 & 9) are doing science in school (we home-school) and they were as asking how an engine works.

I made a simple note to myself to find an example of pistons at work.

Today in exploring Silverlight examples / demos, I found your engine.

My daughters and I totally like this example!

My 9 year-old even made the observational comment that pistons 1 and 4 were spinning together and 2 and 3 were spinning together opposite 1 and 4; something I didn't notice!

Wow, Raj, your example is more than an example, it is a great teaching tool, too!  Thank you!!

hey man this is the sickest thing ive eveer seene in my whole life i love engines and i also kknow alote about them so this is really interresting and the way you controle it is sooo cool you shold defenetly make a six stroke engine animation thing!!!

an RPM counter would be cool, I'm always interested to see how fast everything runs at a certain RPM
