What´s in a Book?
As I read Kevin Kelly´s "Fate of the Book" I come to wonder what this debate he´s referring to is all about? Is it about form or content? Is is about texts as opposed to video or audio? Is it about texts of a certain minimum length and/or structure as opposed to text snippets? Or is it about a certain physical container for texts as opposed to digital texts? Or is it about certain types of physical containers?

Quo vadis Fachzeitschriften?
[Abstract: From looking at current issues of .NET developer magazines in Germany I get the impression, their current format is outdated. Publishing software development content primarily on paper does not really cater to the needs of developers anymore. That way not enough relevant topics can be covered in each issue to make most of the readers happy most of the time. I thus propose a shift of focus from offline to online. What we need are magazines (i.e. information filters) we can customize.]

Listening to a discussion often offers a new view on a subject, because hearing contrasting thoughts next to each other sparks your own thoughts in a different way than reading a just an article explaining some subject. That´s why thinktecture now publishes its second email discourse on an software architectural topic.
