I am no Longer a MVP

I am sorry to inform you that my MVP status has not been renewed for this year. Don’t worry folks it will not make any impact on the open source projects that I am involved over the years as well as our quest to become a better developer, I will be doing all the community works at the same sprit that I used to do before.

Happy new year to everyone!!!

I don't know what are the qualifications for MVP anymore! There are many MVPs around who have no community contribution at all!

And some do the community contributions just to renew their MVP.

MVP isn't a community motivation anymore. Many who used to be very active community members no more got their MVP renewed.

Good luck Rashid, it wasn't that important anyway.

Sad to hear it. You were the technically sound  and most deserving one among the MVP set in this geo area.

Bummer! With all due respect I would like to mention that it seems that it's all about connection. It doesn't matter what's your contribution to the community is or how good you're in a specific category. I assume, all we need to do is maintaining good connection.

May be I am right or I am confused. I don't know or not sure what is really happening.

Interesting! Can anyone tell me how to make this connection for mvp? I would be glad to get this if this can be achieved wihtout making any contribution or specialization in a specific .NET field.

Ahh man... that stinks! If it were up to me you'd still be in, but I have absolutely no say in that.

Thanks for your great blog posts and efforts in the community.

Glad that you plan to stay active!

This is first saddening news of 2010!

I didn't read your blog because you were an MVP, I read it because it's full of stuff that's useful to me and I usually end up learning something. In fact, I didn't even know you were an MVP. I've long since lost interest in who is and who isn't an MVP.

Happy New Year, Kazi!

I started gaining an interest in your blog (and tweets) based on your demonstrated expertise in/around the ASP.NET MVC framework.   At some point, I made the connection with Telerik and the awesomeness you and the rest of the group are doing in both ASP.NET and Silverlight.   Keep up the great work!

Like Mark, I never realized you were an MVP.  The overall value of being an "MVP" has been in sharp decline.    I am sure there are some within Microsoft that take time and award those that are deserving of the recognition. I makes sense to recognize those that help grow their community.  Others handle them about as well as Google invites, or their leftover rollover minutes. To err is human, and this process is flawed.

I summon the #FailWhale!!

Happy New Year,

I have lost faith in MVP awarding by this incident.

And please dont let this affect your contributions to asp.net mvc.

Happy new year Kazi

It does not matter what those administrative people at Microsoft are thinking, your contribution to the ASP.MVC community  desserves more than of the MVP title.

I really learned a lot from your KIGG project and I hope see you working on it again
