Work Blogs...
Two guys at work here just started to blog. Rick David our Network Admin, and Laurent May a Kiosk Software Dev Guru.

Still trying to get our CTO and DBA on board. I would love to see what these folks would blog about in any given day.

Subscribed.

It would actually be nice to see internal (departmental) blogs going. I dont think a company of our size would really need it but I could see some advantages. Deliverables that are met/dropped, weekly progress reports and such.

Does your company internally blog? Tell me about it!

Fear Factory...
They played last night at the Commodore Ballroom. Damn they have to be one the best live bands you can go see. Do NOT let the opportunity pass you by. I moshed my ass off for most of their show and I had the sweat dripping off of me to prove it, not to mention I'm half deaf today.

The first band was "Just Cause". The only thing good about them was their drummer Gene Hoglan. If you dont recognize the name, but you have listened to such bands like Dark Angel, Death, Testament, Old Mans Child and of course Strapping Young Lad then you have probably heard him play. IMHO one of the best drummers in the metal industry.

Amazing.

Two weeks, 10 Bands...
Some recent concerts that I have been to in the last few weeks include:

Cyanotic, Unearthed, Hatebreed - Hatebreed was stopped at the Canadian border -bad border, bad. I've seen them live when I was in Vegas during a Conference, with Dave Penton. They actually suck live, so I wasn't all that disappointed.

Cyanotic, Damage Plan, Drowning Pool -Drowning Pool was stopped by the Canadian border. That really sucked because I havnt seen them live yet and was looking forward too it. Dime Bag and Vinnie Paul did a kick ass job though.

Next was Killswitch Engage, In Flames. In Flames ROCKED; grabbed their new CD, well worth it.

Then there was the most recent, Everygray, Children of Bodom, Iced Earth. Some of you that have seen that recent (flop) movie "Rock Star", might be slightly familiar with Iced Earth. The show was based on the lead singer. Anyways, I was very impressed with Evergray (grabbed their CD as well) and also with Children of Bodom.

BTW, Cyanotic is a local metal band. Nice to see they are getting some coverage with these other larger bands.

Tonight it's Fear Factory, if they get across the border. A buddy at work is coming along and wants to get in on the mosh pit action; fun times.

Oh yeah, one of my long time favorites is coming back to Vancouver. Cannibal Corpse. Kick ass.

Telus, Payment Express...
Just a quick update on what I have been doing lately with regards to actual development. If you live in Canada and have dealt with Telus, then you might be interested in checking out this Video. It deals with some technology which I specifically played a major role in developing.

Creativity Self-Assessment...

The .NET Guy posts his score..

I just took it, my score is    46.10, well below average.

Whats yours?  Post them in my feedback and I'll give an overall average...
