Na-na-na-na hey-hey-hey... goodbye (TypePad)

http://clicked.msnbc.msn.com/ - Community Server / .NET is now used for MSNBC's 'Clicked' blog.

http://www.direct2dell.com/ - Dell is blogging now and their blog is getting a ton of buzz -- we're happy to say they chose Community Server too!

http://www.majornelson.com/ - Larry Hryb, aka Major Nelson, is the Director of Programming for Xbox Live and is blogging on Community Server. Before choosing Community Server I believe Larry was running WordPress.

It's really exciting for us on the Telligent team to see some of these sites go live. We're competing against companies with literally millions and millions of venture capital dollars and we are 100% self-funded (and keep declining VC investment).

So while our competitors throw tons of dollars at problems, we just have to work smarter. It's one of our philosophy's at Telligent "work smarter not harder." While we don't have the financial resources that our competitors do, we have drive, motivation, and a desire to win. In some ways I think having less resources makes our job easier as we have to really think hard about where we invest our time.

Clicked is a small win for us relative to our VC funded competitors, but it's a win nonetheless.

And don't forget the Dex bonus from that clock! :).

Seriously, pat yourself on the back, you enable a great many communities, which in themselves enable change and learning (like our commercestarterkit). Well done on all fronts.

Now if you could just ditch the TinyMCE...

Congrats Rob,

I had no idea that CommunityServer is self funded. I always assumed from the day you resigned from Microsoft and then Scott W. went to work at Telligent that you had received a major infusion of capital.

When you started hiring more developers, sales associates etc. I thought you had received your second round of Venture Capital funding.

It never crossed my mind that this venture called CommunityServer is powered by your presvious developer salary from Microsoft.

Well, if I had known, I would have been more forgiving and less expecting.

Now, seeing a bit of the true picture, I appreciate a lot better the endeavor that is Community Server and the Team that is Telligent.

Regards

Congrats indeed. It's nice to see tech companies be successful outside of the system. If you read trash like Business 2.0, you'd swear that no company is real unless it gets a nod from VC's.

I must commend you for the great work you guys do at Telligent.  The community server application has enabled me to get my website to grow larger than I ever thought possible in such a short time.  (Haven't even been up and running a year yet)  The more I learn about CS the more exciting a tool it is.

Furthermore you guys at Telligent are all very accessible when questions from inexperienced users like myself come up.  Several times I've received email responses back from you within 24 hours.  I am sure I speak for all when I say your hard work is appreciated!

Sincerely,

Tom
