Thanks for pointing it out Roy, I'll go give it a try. Adobe Acrobat Reader has been really winding me up recently.

Steps to make Adobe Reader 6.0 load quickly:
Navigate to install directory (i.e. C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\)
Make a copy of the plug_ins folder and name it something helpful, like plug_ins.bak
In the original plug_ins folder, delete all the .api except for EWH32.api, printme.api, and Search.api.
Load time is now fairly negligible, and you'll know just how much extra crud it used to load by default that you never used. If you actually find a need for the other .api files, you can always copy just the ones you need into the plug_ins directory.
