It is an interesting thing to think about for awhile, but in the end, keep in mind that those are just tools, and the important thing are the underlying concepts and the practice. Tools are just something that keep evolving and it is normal (and maybe desirable) that we find better ones and keep switching. As I do more and more consulting, I keep seeing that most teams need a better understanding and practice of how and what to test than better tools. I guess you surely found the same also...
