How will you know which ones to apply? Can you point Windows Update at the DVD and tell it to use it as source?

It is not a single dvd image with all the patches. It's a dvd PER MONTH, each one with the patches released in that month for the different versions and localizations of Windows. Therefore, pretty useless for most of us.
