Great article, Roy! You've put your finger on something I've had in my head for some time for trying to explain different approaches to testing existing code to development teams and managers.

It's amazing, but there is still a lot of resistance to doing this kind of work up-front, as many people think it intuitive to expect the curve to be steep and stay steep, with no cost-benefit.

Excellent stuff!
