Connecting to Exchange Server Over HTTP

Greetings,

I started following some instructions on how to get Outlook to connect to Exchange Server 2003 over HTTP, and when I got to the point in the "More Settings" area of the Exchange Server Mailbox setup where I did not see the checkbox I was supposed to on the "Connection" tab. Apparently there's supposed to be one that says "Connect to my Exchange mailbox using HTTP" but I don't see that - instead it's just empty space.

Funny thing is, I do see that on my laptop's Outlook so it works fine on that computer. Does anyone know why I'm not seeing these options on my desktop machine?

Thanks for your comment. I have Windows XP SP2 and Office 2003 SP2, so I should be good to go in that department, no?

The install used to setup Office on your desktop machinge did not have this feature enabled. Sadly, the Office installer can't help you out in this case. You have to create a Custom Installation Wizard to install that feature using the Office 2003 Editions Resource Kit (http://www.microsoft.com/office/orkarchive/2003ddl.htm), and the original media used to set up Outlook. See this article to get started: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA011402731033.aspx
