What's on your Visual Studio Start Page?

Call me Mr. Observant....but I just noticed that for some reason my VS2008 start page is set to some Sql Server Rss that contains REALLY out of date information (see:http://msdn.microsoft.com/sql/rss.xml)....so my question to you is what do you have as your start page RSS feed?  On another box I had the DotNetKicks feed...but I always got an error when I clicked on a link in that window so I stopped using it after a bit.

Have the same feed on my start page too (msdn.microsoft.com/.../rss.xml). I remember when I first opened VS I selected something like "General Profile" for default environment settings (others I think are C#, VB specific settings). It could be because of that.

I didn't mind this at all but now that you've mentioned it, I might as well change it to something more useful. Thanks.

My VS2008 at work is set to:

go.microsoft.com/fwlink

Which is weird because at home my VS2008 is set to the same old one as you all have, which never gets updated anymore I guess.  I set them both up as C# settings on install, so go figure.  You should move to this one though, at least it is updated often.

I noticed a few weeks ago that my start page was showing items from March and earlier... (was the same items as what rajbk's xml had in it, except was using the /fwlink url.

I changed it to the one that dw suggested above, and now at least it shows some up to date information.

Thanks!

Where can I get a list of feeds? I've searched high and low and failed to find anything.

i use a local rss.xml file that points to our internal resources, like wiki, cvsweb etc. And it's fast. I also think about a script that is constantly checking cvs for new checkins to make it more dynamic.

So, if you want to bulk up, you eat a lot and lift heavy. ,
