Redux: SharePoint or Groove - its successful deployment depends upon 'A Culture of Collaboration'
As an addendum to my prior posting - Ray Ozzie's statements on the 'A Culture of Collaboration' [via Groove Networks' corporate blogs]:
"The core lesson, I think, to be learned is that you cannot throw technology at a problem that involves social and interpersonal dynamics. The goal is to get people to work together within the context of the organization toward some end, like solving customer problems faster. You can't...assume people will just change their work habits." If work habits have to change, training is imperative - "software isn't magic and it doesn't do that for you," Ozzie said.
