SharePoint Saturday India Online (Jun 25th)

Last Saturday (Jun 25th) I had presented at the SharePoint Saturday India Online event (#SPSINDIA). My presentation was on ‘SharePoint 2010 Development with Visual Studio 2010’. It was well attended (20+) and went quite fast – the original content of ~90 mins (from a prior Code Camp) had to be pruned down to 60 mins.

4th Annual Hartford Code Camp - The Code Camp Manifesto lives on!

It is amazing that Thom Robbins' blog posting back in December 2004 laid the foundation of the Code Camps that have grown world-wide - there is at least one every week-end in some country (unscientific tweets stats sampling). This week end, we at the Connecticut .NET Developers Group had the 4th Annual Hartford Code Camp and it was well attended with 120+ attendees with ~30 sessions. Our thanks to the Speakers from near and far who made our event a success.

Resurrecting this blog site..

Well over a year has passed since I last posted here. Work and other obligations put me elsewhere. Let’s hope any absence in the future is not that long.

I received the Microsoft MVP Award for SharePoint Workspace:Architecture earlier this year (the 4th one since 2008). More details here - http://bit.ly/b3if5s

Microsoft MVP 2010 Award for Groove:Architecture (3rd time)

2190084222_e585244fa8_m[1]

My thanks to Microsoft for the Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award for 2010 - this is 3rd time in a row!  I have been active with the Groove and the CTDOTNET community for the past several years and it is always a pleasure to be helpful and work with other developers.

Groove has evolved considerably over the years (since '01) and works well with other collaborative platforms, especially SharePoint. The new & upcoming version of Groove will be SharePoint WorkSpace 2010 – find out more about it at the Office 2010 Beta website.
