Util of the Week :: Slick Run

I was working with one of my Dev's this week, and I noticed a utility that he kept using over and over again. It's a little floating box on the screen, hot key activated, that takes keywords to load programs.

SlickRun

I started using and now am addicted to Slick Run. It seems that I'm the last to know about this fun little guy. My favorite feature is the import export. It saves everything as an XML file, so it's easy to backup / restore across O/S rebuilds, VPC, VM's, etc.

I've told a few people, and so far they've all said "yep... isn't it great." Well I'm not that far out of it, so I thought there might be others in my shoes. It's wroth taking a look at.

vista's live search capabilities brings the power of slick run (minus the macros, but i'd argue it might not be needed) to the start menu now. i used to use slick run, but now just hit windows key and start typing...haven't found anything that the new vista search doesn't do for me!

I hadn't seen this one yet, and immediately jumped on it. Takes the place of a bunch of messing around and I can see other things I want to do with it.Thanks!
