Google Doesn't Search :: Are you kidding me?

For testing, I just imported an OPML file for Google Reader. What a nice Interface. I like it. I read a few posts, and then thought I'd try to search and find something I read about a few weeks ago.

SCREECHING HAULT.....

What?

No Search? Google Reader doesn't offer a search option?

I'm sure that in my before coffee state this morning, I just can't see the search text box somewhere on the screen.

Will someone please tell me where it is?

Scott,

I love google reader, it fits me perfectly.  I can check  my feeds from anywhere, it lets me save favorites, I use my smartphone to read feeds and then when I get back to the office the feeds I read are already marked as read... the list goes on.  Then... the dreaded realization.  No Search!!!?!  I've been coping with this little pitfall for a couple of months now.  It really is horrible...

I'm not even quite sure why we're not allowed to search..  I mean, I'm sure Google caches the blog posts so its not like it would have to go grab every article you search on.

At the very minimum, it should at least let us search within a feed.  Sometimes I'll remember "what" and "who" wrote it, but I have no idea "when"
