Replacement for Trillian Chat on Vista

I've recently upgraded to Vista, and the chat program I use for MSN, AOL, Yahoo is Trillian. It's a great piece of software, but it's not very Vista friendly. Or I don't have it setup correctly.

I'd love to see a Vista Version of Trillian, but I can't find one.

I've heard of GAIM (I think that's the name) and a few others, but I thought I'd ask for opinions on what others use like for cross-IM platform services.

TIA

Trillian Astra (aka Trillian 4) will run on Vista. Unfortunately it's not out yet, but you can read more about it on their forum.

I have trillian on vista ultimate ant it work perfectly (almost) ... occasionally the contact lists fails to render any users... usually showing/hiding the window or mousing over the list will cause it to redraw everything.. but still it's a pain. Other than that, I haven't had any issues with trillian on windows.

Trillian 3.1 stores it's data in C:\Program Files\Trillian\users\ -- a no-no with UAC. Trillian 3.1.5 was rumored to make progress here. Your other solution is to disable UAC ('Cancel or allow'). Or you can install Trillian into a different dir than C:\Program Files. Trillian 4 (Astra) is going to be cool, though the perpetual alpha leading on into the sunset isn't very enticing. If you can twist an arm and get onto the beta testers' list, you'll be the envy of all of us.
