Just started using Office Groove

One of the guys in the office started using Groove to share stuff between his home computer, and the office computer this week. He said it was really easy to get started, and was working great.

I have a need for this as well, since I'm constantly switching between 3 or more machines at work, home, laptop, desktop, etc. There are certain small files that make sense to be everywhere. I use a little util called Password Safe. It's nice to have this in sync on all machines. I found a little check box today, that keeps your explorer favorites in sync as well.

In the past I have used Folder Share, but for some reason I stopped using it. Anyway - if you have office installed, Groove is probably there waiting for you to take advantage of it.

Do you use Folder Share, Groove, or something else? I'm interested to know what else is out there.

Right after I saved this, I thought about my USB key. I have a 2gb USB key with U3 on it. it was great for XP, but doesn't seem to be Vista friendly.

Also, most of the time I have my key chain with me, but not all the time. So this doesn't work for me.

I am using Groove at work since version 2.0 and it is a great tool, not only to share between your pc but with your colleague too.

Groove sucked for me before as searching docs within was impossible. It was also a performance pig. I prefer folder share 1000 times over.

I'm finding that Groove does a lot more than compete with folder share. I don't know about your documents searching speed. It's working great for me.

And yes, I'm reading your archives! LOL.

Oh and, I'll see you this coming week a couple of days.
