Calling all ASP.NET Developers in Ohio

If you're in Ohio, chances are very good that I'll be speaking this week in a city near you. I'm on the road for Ineta talking about the Model View Presenter (MVP) design pattern with regards to asp.net and windows forms. In the talk we write a code base for a very simple application. The we driver multiple UI front ends with the same code. Yes, you heard that right, one code base.

For the more advanced developers this may be nothing new, but my experience is that this concept is new to the majority of developers.

If you're within an hour driving distance from ...

  • Dayton ( June 18, 6pm )
  • Cincinnati( June 19, 6pm )
  • Columbus( June 20, 6pm )
  • Toledo( June 21, 6pm )

... It would be great for you to come out and enjoy the meetings.

Here is a link with all the meeting facilities and addresses of the user groups I'll be visiting on this trip.

Great presentation. Do yourself a favor and go see Scott to this presentation for the Ohio .NET User Groups. It is great material and Scott is a great presenter. You'll have a good time and you will learn something. And he may even buy you a cold beverage afterward!

Good presentation tonight Scott. I think you really helped to connect the dots for a lot of the devs in attendance tonight. And even those of us who are already familiar with (and using) the MVP/MVC patterns got something out of it.

I loved the power receptacle analogy by the way... it was a great way to explain interfaces, development by contract, and MVP in general.

Oh, and for those of you that skipped out right after the meeting, you missed out on some great conversations (enjoyed over some wings and beer).
