Do you use Office Groove? If Yes, How?

Last week I wrote about using Groove as a sync tool, similar to FolderShare. Both are Microsoft (through acquisition) but I've been reading more and more about Groove. It seems to be much more than just a folder share competitor.

What do you accomplish with Groove?

<a href="veloc-it.com/.../a> use Groove (albeit the pre-Microsoft version) for storing/sharing/syncing all kinds of project, HR, and other business docs. It works pretty well, but I wish that it had better integration with the local machine's file system.

For example, you can't just navigate to a Groove doc via Windows Explorer, you have to fire up the Groove client. Basically, I want it to work more like SVN and TortoiseSVN.

Groove also has some other nice functionality like shared white boards, shared notepad docs, contact lists, calendars, etc... but we mainly use it as a document repository.

We use Groove extensively for mainly managing and tracking files in many of our projects, since we work from various locations.

I also use it to synchronize project files between my laptop and desktop, and I thnk it integrates extremely well with the file system.

We do not use Groove Server, but it still works very very well.  I tried foldershare after using Groove, and it was light on features.

This may sound recursive, but we use Groove to support the Groove user group in the UK.  My company uses Groove to manage projects that involve virtual teams.
