Boise User Group :: Last Minute Change Of Venue

I'm in Boise, getting ready to talk to their user group about patterns in ASP.NET, and in .NET in general. The meeting is usually located at the Microsoft office, but due to some emergency maintenance, the meeting has to be moved.

If you're in or around Boise, come on out, the more the merrier. The new meeting location is ExecuTrain of Idaho. The meeting starts at 6:30pm, Come out a little early and enjoy some free Pizza :)

Desert Code Camp is This Weekend

Yes, the title is correct. Desert Code Camp now spans two days. Saturday and part of Sunday. September 15th, 16th, 2007.

Lorin Thwaits, the code camp director has done a great job on the technology that runs www.DesertCodeCamp.com. Great job Lorin, you've made the Code Camp experience delightful for all.

On the home page you have an instant view of all the sessions, the session popularity (based on interest as you'll see in a moment), and a link to the session details.

Desert Code Camp Q3 2007

After you sign in, you're asked to check which sessions you're interested in. This is very easy to do, with a simple checkbox in each session listing. Since the schedule is displayed in the timed grid, it's easy to see where you'll have conflicts in the sessions you want to attend.

And Finally, the volunteer page is drop dead easy to use. This is a very simple way to get volunteers for each time slot. You can easily see what slot is open, if you have a session schedule for that slot, and optionally provide a phone number. Very Easy!

I hope to see everyone out at DesertCodeCamp this weekend. Thanks again Lorin, great job on the site!
