The 6 emails all had split zips, each with about a 2 meg file. So now I have to save all the zip files in the same place, and hope that my zip util (currently WinRar [which rocks]) can stitch them back together. But in this case file.zo3, had a CRC error, so the whole file transfer is bad.

I think email attachments are great, but should be limited to 1 meg or smaller. Anything else, should be sent over http or FTP. The problem is that both of those are more complicated for the average user.

The solution can be to upload your large file to a website, and then send a link to the file for download to your recipient. www.TransferBigFiles.com is run by Axosoft (a local Arizona company) and has never failed me. It's easy to use, for both the sender and the recipient. I'm sure there are other solutions, but this has worked well fro me 100's of times. This is all web based, there is nothing to install on either end to use the service.

Oh ya, I almost forgot, it's free :)
