Some of my Slides and Demos from ASP.NET Connections Conference

I presented 4 session talks at the ASP.NET Connections conference last week (in addition to the keynote).  I have posted the slides and samples on my website at: http://www.scottgu.com for download and re-use.

The BlackBelt webforms talk is a fun one that I wrote on the way to the conference.  There are a some cool tips/tricks in it -- most very useful, and a few just plain esoteric.  Should be something in there for everyone to use.

Just read the Blackbelt PPT and some of the demo's code. There is definitely fun stuff in there.

Would you have an MSDN pointer for the "~" path trick? Obviously, search engines don't find anything about this... ;-)

The focus stuff certainly is nice, but I still don't understand why so many people search a solution for this, as the solution is kinda obvious. I have seen a variation though: with a custom webcontrol that you include in your page (a kind of FocusManager with a FocusID attribute). Also I guess you could have a class inheriting Page and handling this stuff, like Page handles the other client script block registration stuff.

I need to look some more at "Retaining the Scrool position upon postback", but it looks like a real nifty trick :-)

Good stuff, thanks!
