New Article: Let's do the Message Queue

My new article about MSMQ is just released on TheServerSide.Net ...

Let's do the Message Queue! -- An Introduction in MSMQ

... and also has started an interessting discussion: Should we care about such old stuff? Is this article obsolete or is it never too late for an introduction? What do you think? Say it - right here, right now!

I believe MSMQ continues to be a useful, relevant technology. Thanks for the article!

Great introductary article, Sebastian! Paul Ballard mentions this is the first of an 8 part series? What are the other topics? I have been looking at SQL Server 2005 Service Broker lately and doing the comparisons (obviously, these solve different problems, but it is intereting to see the similarities and differences between MSMQ, Service Broker, Indigo, and BizTalk Server among the messaging solutions being offered by Microsoft).

Thank you very much for your Feedback, Bruce and Robert! I think Paul means Christian's Web Service series because I did not know anything about additional 7 articles ;-)
However, feel free to post your comments to the TSS discussion board as well.
