That is too funny. IIII for IV is major snafu. I wonder how many sold? And how many people missed it? I also have to wonder what the QA process is.

@Jason,

I don't think there was any QA process involved at all. 3 o'clock was funny, same as between 6 and 9. We looked at the manufacturer, it was "made in China". Good that this is not a kids toy, or who knows what it could cause besides confusion :)

It's obvious that IX is wrong and should be VIIII.  ;-)

This is not a mistake, but intentional -- many old clocks have IIII instead of IV. See www.ubr.com/.../faq-roman-iiii-vs-iv-on-clock-dials.aspx for various theories of origin.

The "numbers" on th bottom half is upside down and therefore harder to read correctly..
