Nice work buddy. I think this Yaah guy is crazy.

I really appreciate your effort, and i know how these kind of small tools save our time. I also develop small stuff to generate my codes and so. The good thing you did was to share your tool with us.

Keep up the good work man.

Cheers

Architecture is a very important thing, but you should keep the balance between using "cool utilities" and working. I wrote utility that i believe can save time. BUT, developers must know when to use something and when not to use it (because it will just spend their time). maybe you should talk with the developers in your company about it ;-)

Ruairi, Thank you. EF4 will give you the option to use POCO built in, which means that if the ADO.NET Team will do they job good, there will be no need in my utility (except if you use LINQ to SQL).

But whith millions of smart guys bringing millions of smart innovations we live a total chaos.

We recently redevelopped a system originally written in the late 80's. It required 3 times the original number of person/years ... for the same functionnality, even with the so called "agile method".

Why?

Developpers are wrting, providers, data transport objects, contracts, delegates, event handlers, proxys, activators, mapping and transformation, WCF, WF, custom behaviors, gateways, and zillions of components with sexy names. They are too busy to write the requested interest calculation routine!!!

Don't even dream of telling these guys to stop playing with these cool patterns and am sure you can guess why!

I think you are taking it too far away. basically, this is an application that helps developers to save some time. A lot of developers would write the same code anyway, so instead of write it manually, I wrote application that do this automatically.

If someone think, like you, that using this application will make him work harder - he simply shouldn't use it. You should use utilities like this only when they save your time.
