Non-Profit Status for the PDNUG!

It's official...the Plano .NET Users Group is now incorporated as a non-profit organization in the state of Texas.  It wasn't too painful, just a bit of paperwork and some IRS requirements that I had to make sure and follow.  My next step is to file for tax exemption status with the IRS.  I can see it now, tax-free pizza and sodas for everyone!

I would love to see you write up in a bit of detail what it took for you to do this for your user group, and what the benefits of non-profit status are. I would even publish it on the INETA website for you so other US UG's could read about your experiences.
