Stats Update

I posted another minor update tonight.

  • Post Counts (views) are now shown for each post in the admin section
  • Referrals are no longer filtered for the last month. Referrals should be listed by date when they were last received. The number of times a referral was received is also displayed.

Only links/views directly made to the post/article permalink are counted and displayed. The indexes on the new stats/referral tables are a little different than the rest of the site. I am still not sure if that is good or bad yet, but please let me know if you see a major slow down on the backend.

Also note, the AggCount column/feature has not been implemented yet, so for now, it will always be zero. More on this later :-)

Scott, any idea when you'll release 0.95 to the public? Or, how do I go about joining the Workspace?

Its still a couple of weeks away. I will be at the PDC next week and have a bunch of things going on at home over the next couple of weeks.

Feature wise, I am only about 1/3 of where I want to be for the next public release (there will be some db changes, so I want to limit the number of updates).

Actually, anyone can download the code from the workspace. I had some problems trying to disconnect the project for the weekend, so at the moment the latest version is not in GDN.

Can we get these fixes as well, under GotDotNet or something?

And I also got some other questions.
What is the best place to ask them? Here on your site? Mailinglist (where I get NO replies at all) or the gotdotnet workspace forum?

The number of posted items on no-blog-at-all will count the total amount. The database entry just isn't raised every time I add a post.
Also the "Bloggers (posts, last update)" doesn't show all the bloggers that have posted something.

How come?! :)

Please forgive my ignorance here. I'm poking around weblogs.asp.net/bdesmond under stats, and the page views thing doesn't do anything. Is this just on your private build or do I need to be looking elsewhere?

Please don't forgive my ignorance but rather just ignore me. I've stumbled upon what you mention on the frontpage of the admin homepage.
