As MAX came to a close, I’m saddened by the fact that this was to be the last Macromedia conference L I’m anxiously awaiting the announcement of the next version of “Adobe ColdFusion” or “Adobe Flash”, which both just sound weird. But hey – we said the same thing about calling Allaire ColdFusion by another name, right?
To all that attended my second session, thanks for staying! It’s hard to condense a topic as broad as Java in ColdFusion into a single hour session, and I appreciate those who stayed and participated in the follow-on conversations.
I’m currently collecting my updated sample code, and will be posting it here shortly. If you have any questions that you weren’t able to ask while at MAX, please feel free to send me a comment – I’d be more than happy to help!
See you at the Macrodobe conference in 2006!
This year MAX has been a whirlwind! Not only has it come rather quickly, it’s coming to a close just the same. Thanks to all those who came out to my session yesterday – especially those had to stand J You all had some great feedback, and I hope you were able to take something away.
I’m preparing for my next (and last) session. I’ve been diligently trying to get some additional demos baked in. Although the 7.0.1 Updater was released before MAX, it was after I turned in my slides. Thus, I’ve added some new content, which will be posted here in a couple days (think CFCProxy.)
I’ll post more on MAX and the additional content soon!
Apparently, the catering crew at the Anaheim Convention Center didn’t prepare for the appetites of MAX attendees – they ran out of food! I showed up for lunch around 1:05 PM, and was shooed away by the catering staff, even though lunch was through 1:30 PM. The tried to make up for the incident by getting crappy liquor store sandwiches – not impressive. Oh well, it wouldn’t hurt me to skip a few meals ;)
Sorry – enough on the petty rant I’m getting ready to deliver my first session at MAX, and hope that those in attendance enjoy. If you saw my session last year, this year’s is VERY similar (aside from Event Gateways and running on WebLogic.) It should be fun and entertaining nonetheless. See you at 4:00 PM!
Still struggling to get over this damn cold, I pulled a late night yesterday to complete my Breezo for my sessions at MAX. I’m not sure when it’s going to be released, or if it’s going to be made publicly available; however, I’ll be sure to let you know when and where. If you do happen to view the Breezo, please forgive my nasally timbre.
For those of you already in Anaheim – I’ll see you tonight at the welcome reception!
With MAX 2005 just around the corner, I've been reviewing my presentation/demos and hope to have enough time this weekend to include some additional demos and widgets for those in attendance to take away from my sessions.
If there is anything in particular you'd like to see, send me a note and I'll try and include it. FYI - I'll be demoing ColdFusion MX 7.0.1 for J2EE on BEA WebLogic 8.1.4!
