My First Blog Entry
Welcome to my first blog entry. I decided that it was about time for me to enter the blogging world or as some would say, Come out of the dark ages. I'd like to thank Scott W for setting me up with some space to blog.
So what will this blog be about? I have no idea. But when all is said and done I hope this blog will have touched on software development, politics, humor, .NET and Code. Code is really one of my passions, as strange as it may seem I love writing code, whether its C# or JavaScript or VB or C++ it doesn't matter. I just love writing the code and making things work, its like doing a very complex ever changing puzzle. But before you can write code you must do the other (sometimes less fun aspects) of software development. These areas also interest me because it seems there's such a huge variety in methodologies, in the way things are done. Perhaps that is one of the best (and worst) things about our industry.
You'll also see a few entries about my efforts to tackle low level code (another favorite past time). Currently on my low level list, ATL Servers, ISAPI Filters & Extensions, and Windows Services. I sometimes enjoy writing the low level C/C++ code even when it can be done faster in C# & .NET simply because the low level stuff has more moving parts, a greater puzzle.
Oh Yeah, come mid to end of august, this blog will contain your occasional rant (or gloat) about football. I love football, favorite teams (College: Michigan Wolverines, Alabama Crimson Tide, others) (Pro: New York Giants).
So please stay tuned, leave a comment telling me what you think about the current ramblings. If you have any ideas for cool projects pass em along.
