Its funny, I landed here from searching for 'convert binary sql to text' but it's clear from your example that we are both solving the exact same problem in the same software package. Thanks for the tip, anyway, and good luck.

I tried to change as suggested but the check of the sql query fails with the following error

Msg 102, Level 15, State 1, Procedure usp_Main_GetSessionInfo, Line 11

Incorrect syntax near '–'.
