Not sure if you will ever be back by to read this, but I think I detect a little sarcasm in your post. Could it be true?

To respond, is it a stuffed industry. Mostly these days by people who have little or no skills.

But what ever. I love the .net environment. Who cares if there are a thousand ways to do things. I know that at least one of those thousand works.

It's a stuffed industry. I know of many IT professionals with many decades experience looking for a challenging, rewarding career, like cab driving. Given that great 4GL tools have now largely been superseded by crappy assembler-level languages like .net and java (why write one command to populate a list box when a hundred will do), I'm thinking of joining them. Why stay in such a moronic industry?

Keeping my head is something I intend to do. It was just a little shocking at first. I have spoken too many throughout the day and have received a lot of encouragement. I'll post the link to my resume sometime this weekend. I need some time to put all my thoughts together.
