Yeah - $10, I'm arguing :) Thats BS, the Advanced plan that I have says "ASP .NET 1.1 / 2.0 - Yes Yes"

Just got my fee waived - just talk to their live technician and tell them the fee is absurd :)

Is this since the 2.0 rtm? Never had to pay while I was using the betaversions!!!!
Where on the site can I read that, or do they tell you only when you request a 2.0 application?

You can choose between 1.1 or 2.0 (and switch them via their web control panel) without extra fees.
The only real downside is that they're ASP/.Net only; would be nice to have PHP as an option as there are quite a few nice PHP web apps out there that I'd like to try out.
Otherwise, I can't argue with SI. The price is good, space is good, 1 MB of email storage, SPAM filtering in the mail, *EXCELLENT* customer service. I called at 9 AM on Labor Day to set up my account and a live person picked up in < 3 rings. He was actually monitoring the system and acknowledge me by my name...amazing.

Has anyone else had problems with Webhost4life servers being utterly slow?

I just signed up for webhost4life and laready have noticed all of the hidden fees associated with this service. On the home page it boasts that you can have unlimited domains with your account, but if you go to add a second domain that points to a subfolder, it wants to charge you $15 per year extra. I guess thats not too bad, but it's also not unlimited domains. They say no we meant you can have unlimited domains pointing to the account, meaning the same folder. I say, big wooop, what provider doesn't offer that.
They also charge a setup fee, which is non-refundable with the 45 day guarantee. This is not stated on the guarantee page, only within the fine print of the license agreement. Although, I kept on them enough about that one that they said they would refund my setup fee as well if I decided to switch companys within the 45 days. I even took a screen shot of the "Live Help" box where the promise was made.
They say they have free backups, which they do, but they charge you $30 to actually restore one of these backups. That doesn't sound free to me.
So I have been with them for about three days now and have noticed all of this already. Plus they seem to be down and out today. My site is still up, but I can't access the admin panel to make any changes.
I think I'll be trying to get my money back on this one. No more webhost4life 4 me.
